🎓 Future Focused: Career Day at GHS!
Day one of Career Day brought some great insights to our Gloversville High School scholars!

We were happy to host John Ramoska, Associate Dean of Enrollment at SUNY FMCC, for an informative presentation and Q&A session. He walked our scholars through the "Pathway to Success" that FMCC provides, helping them explore their options when the time comes to decide on a career path. It was a great opportunity for our scholars to ask questions and get a head start on their future planning.

A huge thank you to Mr. Ramoska for investing time in our scholars and helping them navigate their career pathways.

Park Terrace scholars jumped right back into learning this morning, building bee hotels with our school beekeeper, Cindy Elsenbeck 🐝🌼

Using recycled cans and natural materials, scholars created safe nesting spaces for pollinators while learning just how important these small creatures are to our ecosystem. From carefully packing the tubes to understanding how bees use them, it was hands-on, purposeful work from start to finish.

A great way to start the week-with busy hands, curious minds, and a few future homes ready for some very important visitors.

An Easter twist on learning at Boulevard Elementary! 🐣🥚➕

Our 4th grade scholars took part in a festive egg hunt with a math challenge built in-each egg they found held a problem to solve along the way. Teams worked together, combining speed, strategy, and teamwork to finish the hunt.

The first team to complete the challenge earned the chance to choose a prize, but the real win was the energy, collaboration, and fun throughout.

A great way to bring Easter spirit and learning together!

Today at Kingsborough Elementary, our scholars came together for a powerful Diversity Day assembly-celebrating what makes each of us unique while recognizing the strength of our school community.

As part of this month’s efforts, scholars also gave back in a meaningful way, raising money for the SPCA in Gloversville by purchasing stickers to place on their staff and teachers. Today, those stickers were worn proudly throughout the building as we presented a check to support their work.

A great example of compassion, community, and pride in action. We’re proud of our Kingsborough scholars for making a difference!

There’s nothing quite like watching our high school scholars step into the role of mentor. This program is a vital thread in our community connectivity, weaving together scholars from every corner of the district. By bringing the high school spirit into our elementary hallways, we’re building a unified GESD family where every school feels like home.

❤️🐥 MAKING A SPLASH FOR A GREAT CAUSE! 🐥❤️

This past month, Park Terrace scholars showed what it means to give back in a BIG way! 🎉

Through our fun and meaningful “Duck Duck Donate” fundraiser, scholars purchased themed rubber ducks for just $1 each — all to support our local community. 🐤✨

Because of their generosity, we are proud to share that we raised $865 for Bleecker Street Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ)! 🙌

🏫 This special donation was presented during our March Park Terrace Pride Assembly this morning, making the moment even more meaningful as we celebrated together as a school community.

📸 We were honored to welcome representatives from the church and present a giant check — a proud moment that truly shows the impact our scholars can make when they come together.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported our Gloversville community. ❤️

Behind every game, every comeback, and every moment on the field-there’s someone making it all possible.
During National Athletic Training Month this March, we’re proud to recognize Justin Unislawski-a GHS graduate who has returned home to give back in a big way. With a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Marist University and a Doctorate in Athletic Training from the University of Idaho, Justin brings both elite knowledge and unmatched dedication to our district.
From injury prevention to in-the-moment care and full recovery, his impact goes far beyond the sidelines. He’s there through every challenge and every comeback, helping our scholar athletes return stronger, safer, and more confident.
More than just care-this is commitment to our athletes, our programs, and our entire Gloversville community

Books, Perspectives, and a Very Special Guest 🐾📚

This afternoon, Boulevard 4th grade scholars hosted author and retired teacher Rachelle Cotugno for a unique lesson this week.

Through a reading of her book, Mandy’s Song, and an open Q&A session, scholars explored themes of resilience and perspective. Joining the conversation was her seeing-eye dog, Puma, who modeled focus and calm while quickly becoming the most popular guest in the building.

There is a specific kind of quiet that happens when scholars are truly dialed into a story. The room was locked in from start to finish-between the deep questions and Puma’s calming presence, it’s safe to say this is one story these scholars won't soon forget. 🌟🙌
