Len Martin has taught Social Studies at Gloversville High School in Gloversville, NY since 1991, and has been named a Master Teacher by the Upstate New York History Alliance. Through the Syracuse University Project Advance program, Len currently teaches Economics, Sociology, and Personal Finance courses to students at both Gloversville High and other area schools via the distance learning network.  He also teaches AP United States History, and has served as Social Studies department chair for the better part of the last two decades.  Throughout his career, he has taught all classes in the New York State Social Studies high school curriculum to all levels of students.  Len has also taught economics as an adjunct in the SUNY system. He developed many of the ancillary materials that accompany the Economics: Ideas and Issues textbook. Len earned a B.A. in Economics from SUNY Potsdam, where he was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society. After an initial career in forensic economic consulting, he earned a Master of Science in Teaching Social Studies from SUNY Potsdam. Len lives in Galway, NY.
