There is a beautiful milestone approaching for families in the Gloversville Enlarged School District. This spring, our hallways will buzz with a new kind of energy as we officially welcome our newest Future Huskies and Dragons during our first-ever Kindergarten Signing Day.

On May 20th and 21st, the simple act of "signing in" becomes a momentous occasion. At Kingsborough and Park Terrace Elementary, we believe that the first step into a classroom is just as significant as a high school graduation. Signing Day is our way of telling our youngest scholars: “We’ve been waiting for you, and we’re so glad you’re here.”

Why We Celebrate Early Registration

While the event is full of smiles and photos, there is a thoughtful purpose behind the May 15th registration deadline. Completing registration early is the best way for families to partner with us in ensuring a smooth transition for their children.

  • Building Your Child’s Community: Early registration allows our principals and teachers to spend the summer intentionally designing balanced classrooms. We want to ensure every child is placed in an environment where they can build strong friendships and flourish.

  • A Stress-Free Start: Knowing our scholar numbers early helps us finalize essential logistics—like bus routes and classroom supplies—well before the first bell rings. This means a calmer, more organized experience for scholars and parents alike.

  • Staying in the Loop: Once a scholar is "100% registered," families begin receiving invitations to school orientations and community events, helping children feel familiar and comfortable with their new school home long before September.

Make it Official

To receive an exclusive invitation to this brand-new tradition, registrations must be fully completed by Friday, May 15th. We have simplified the process with our new online registration portal, allowing you to upload all necessary documents from home.

We can’t wait to see our Future Huskies and Dragons take the pen and officially begin their journey with us. Let’s make their first school memory a great one!
