On Wednesday, September 20th Junior Scholars had the opportunity this morning to meet with college representatives right in the GHS cafeteria! The College Caravan is sponsored by the Capital District Counseling Association. Students visited numerous prospective colleges and even got some souvenirs.

Photos from a Micro Field Trip with our Auto Tech class visiting the ADK Express Lube. Our scholars learned that a business such as Mr. Hutchin's is not necessarily about servicing cars, but more about providing quality service to people.

I just wanted to forward some pictures of our first Micro Field Trip with our Auto Tech class visiting the ADK Express Lube. We were really fortunate that the owner Mr. Hutchins took time out of his day to give us a tour of his facility. Our scholars learned that a business such as Mr. Hutchin's is not necessarily about servicing cars, but more about providing quality service to people. As a result of his business motto and the efficiency of the establishment the Gloversville/Johnstown location services anywhere from 240 - 300 cars a week!! The 20 minutes consisted of an explanation of the roles and responsibilities of each employee, and the operating mechanicals of the establishment. Overall the field trip was a huge success, and we are all looking forward to more in the future.
