🏎️ Engineering on Ice: The Cardboard Sled Challenge!
Last Saturday, the scholars in Mr. Wilder’s class hit the hills to put their designs to the ultimate test! Starting with nothing but flat cardboard, these teams spent weeks debating designs and building high-performance sleds.
This project is real-world prep at its finest. It teaches our scholars that critical thinking, team collaboration, and precision are what win the race. In this competition, "good enough" wasn’t an option-only the most dedicated teams took home the glory.
They didn’t just build sleds; they built the skills to lead the future.

At GHS, we wrapped up the week of February 23–27 with an overall attendance rate of 87.58%-and we’re building momentum!
An impressive 414 scholars achieved perfect attendance for the entire week. That’s 414 scholars showing up, staying committed, and making their learning a priority every single day.
From that group, three scholars were randomly selected to receive a prize in recognition of their dedication-but the real win is the commitment shown by all 414.
Let’s keep pushing forward and aim even higher next week. Every day matters. Every class counts. Let’s be there

Today, Gloversville High School scholars visited Kingsborough to spend the afternoon with our younger scholars, demonstrating what it means to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe through their actions.
