We stopped by Santa’s Workshop (the Park Terrace basement) this afternoon to take a quick peek at our now-annual Christmas Giveaway, put together by our Community Educator Lashawn Hawkins and Jen Hazzard. Thanks to them—and all the volunteers and adopters who stepped up—over 400 local children will have a Christmas this year.
We’re grateful to be part of something so special. 🎄❤️

What an exciting morning at Boulevard as we celebrated our December Principal Pride Awards! 🎉 Our Principal Pride Award–winning scholars for the month of December were recognized by their classes for their hard work, kindness, and positive leadership — all while shining in this month’s focus on showing compassion. We couldn’t be prouder of the energy they bring to our school each day.

We also gave a big shout-out to our Strive for 5 scholars for their excellent attendance and commitment to being present and ready to learn.

Amazing job, Boulevard scholars — keep shining! ❤️🖤

📢 Capital Project Information Session — Monday, December 8

Gloversville community members are invited to a brief and informative overview of the district’s proposed $40 million capital project on Monday, December 8 at 6 PM in the Board of Education Room.

Superintendent Halloran will walk through what’s included in the proposal, such as:
• Upgrades to Husky Field, including turf installation and added event parking
• Safety and traffic improvements at Park Terrace, featuring a redesigned bus loop and student drop-off zone
• New boilers across the district
• A new roof for the Middle School
• A new ADA-compliant main entrance and bus zone at Boulevard

The potential project would be funded through existing district reserves and state aid, meaning no additional cost to local taxpayers.

If you’re looking for a clear, easy-to-understand rundown of the plan before the December 9 vote, this session is a perfect chance to learn more and ask questions.

📅 Monday, December 8
🕕 6 PM — Board of Education Room

We hope you’ll join us and stay informed about the future of our schools. ❤️🖤

Thanksgiving Dinner Food Drive Distribution 🧡🦃
Today at Mt. Carmel Church, our community educator LaShawn Hawkins teamed up with our amazing community volunteers to distribute Thanksgiving dinner essentials to families across Gloversville Enlarged School District. Thanks to their hard work — along with the support of 44 Lakes, EmpowHERing Designs, our community partners, and the Gloversville Police Department who joined in to help prepare meals — over 500 dinners will be on the tables of community families tomorrow for the big day.
A heartfelt thank-you to our GMS and Boulevard food service workers for preparing all the turkeys, and to everyone who came together to make tomorrow a little brighter, warmer, and fuller for our families.

Our Boulevard K–5 scholars spent the last month exploring what “I Belong!” means to them through the National PTA Reflections program. They took what was in their hearts and minds and transformed it into beautiful, meaningful works of art.

For over 50 years, National PTA has provided this space for creative expression and celebration—especially for our youngest scholars, who don’t always find it easy to express their thoughts and feelings with words alone.

Last Friday, we had the joy of celebrating these scholars and their families during our Reflections Ceremony and Art Show in the small gym at Boulevard Elementary. A heartfelt thank-you to Ms. Gutta, our Boulevard art teacher, our Gloversville Elementary PTA, and all of our wonderful participants for making this event such a meaningful celebration of creativity.
