Gloversville School District will open at normal times tomorrow, Friday February 3rd. A two hour delay would not see an improvement in temperature or windchill according to the forecast. Please be sure to bundle up with proper clothing, including coats, hats, gloves and boots.

Huge congratulations to our Quarter 1 Eagle Award winners at GMS! On Friday, January 27, GMS was finally able to host an Eagle Award breakfast for the first time since the pandemic. It was a wonderful morning of staff and families coming together for an amazing breakfast and some wonderful scholars! More information will be provided in a full article coming soon.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions forecast for this this afternoon, GESD will be dismissing early today. GMS and GHS will dismiss at 12:40 PM and Elementary Schools will dismiss at 1:30 PM. All after school activities are canceled.


If any girls between the ages of 9-12 are interested in playing softball this Spring, please come to sign-ups. Sign-ups will be held after school in the cafeteria on Friday, February 3rd. Hope to see you all there!


Ms. Mowrey’s GMS 7th grade science scholars are learning about genetics and DNA. During this lab they are extracting DNA from strawberries!

Mrs. Millers 6th grade science scholars are learning about our solar system. Today’s lab had them using cookies to show their knowledge of the moon’s phases!

All after school activities, including athletics games and practices are cancelled.

Mr. Rohrs’ GMS ELA class researched quotes of inspiration for Arthur Owens in Shelley Pearsall’s The Seventh Most Important Thing. Arthur, who only received cryptic messages scribbled on cardboard from the man he is working for, Mr. Hampton, really needed the motivation. We hope these helped!
