One class earned the MVC (Most Valuable Class) award for outstanding participation, and our Strive for 5 scholars celebrated their commitment to attendance at this month’s attenDANCE.

We’re so proud of our young scholars and the kind, supportive, and encouraging community at Kingsborough that helps every scholar thrive. 🌦️✨ Exciting Weather Visit at Kingsborough! ✨🌦️

Our second graders had a special visit from Meteorologist Jordan Due from WTEN Channel 10 this week to celebrate their CKLA Cycles in Nature unit! Jordan taught our young scholars about different types of weather and how it forms, what it’s like to be a meteorologist both on and off TV, and even showed us how the Storm Tracker works with all its tools.

The fun didn’t stop there — we had weather dances, played weather Pictionary, and learned so much while having a blast! Thank you to Jordan and the WTEN crew for coming by and showing our scholars the ropes of being meteorologists. ☀️🌧️

🎅✨ Spreading Holiday Cheer: The Santa Project with the Class of 2026! ✨🎅

Each year, as part of this annual GHS tradition, our seniors bring the magic of the season to life. They visited all 5 of our schools — and a few other treasured community spots — to drop off brand-new books for our scholars, sing Christmas carols, and spread holiday cheer across our community!

A huge thank you to:

The Cubby Faville Memorial Fund for making it possible for our seniors to deliver books to all students Pre-K through 5

The Berkshire Fire Department for hosting lunch and Bingo

Kelly DeMaio, Jacob Perron, and Stephanie Boger for their incredible help making The Santa Project a success

Rainbow Play School, the Gloversville Police and Fire Departments, and City Hall for welcoming our holiday cheer
