Community Leaders Read at Kingsborough

National Read Across America Day, which takes place every year on March 2nd, is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. The single purpose of the day is to encourage reading in children.

Kingsborough Elementary School is very honored to host our community guest readers.  This years participants were: The Amazing Reading Chimpanzee (GESD employee Stacy Ashe), Chloe Bronk (Miss Outstanding Teen), Honorable Judge Chad Brown (Fulton County Court), Ella and Tommy (GESD Seniors dressed as Sponge Bob and a Rabbit), Honorable Judge Traci DiMezza (Gloversville City Court), Assistant Chief Debra Finkle (Berkshire Fire Department), Sheriff Richard Giardino, Investigator Jerrica and Sergeant Willis Wood (Fulton County Sheriff's Office), Battalion Chief Joseph Gillis (Gloversville Fire Department), The Giraffe Michael Hallenbeck (GESD Teacher), Superintendent David Halloran, Historian Samantha Hall-Saladino (Fulton County), Firefighter Dane Luey (Johnstown Fire Department), Trooper Joshua Nauroth ( New York State Police), DA Amanda Nellis (Fulton County District Attorney's Office), Officer Chris Pescetti (SRO/Gloversville Police Department), Assistant Superintendent Dr. Christopher Wojeski,  and Max, Sawyer and Dezton (Boulevard students and former Kingsborough students.
