Get ready for our busy spring!
It
is so hard to believe that it’s already approaching the end of the
year! With state testing and our
trip to Boston
behind us (many thanks to those of you who sold candy, as well as our
chaperones!), we are heading into a very busy season. Ask your child
about the design project we are working on to get them ready to be better
problem-solvers Thanks to those families who
supported their readers in April, here is our list of goal-getters: Scott, Sam B., Sam
A., Jewel, Tessa, Peyton, Dayton,
Jakob, Schulyer, and
Emily. Here are a number of dates you will want to be aware
of for the remainder of the school year:
May 10 – 6- 7:30 PM Teen Town at GMS
May 11 – 3:30-6:30 PT Relay for Life Car Wash at Brown’s Ford in Johnstown
May 16 – 5:30 PTA
May 17 – Career Fair
May 21 – Morning – Fifth Grade Field Day at Park Terrace
2:30-3 PM – Skype with NASA Astronaut Trainer, Brian Alpert (we
will get out
five minutes late that day, but we’re happy for the
opportunity!)
May 24 – Scotia-Glenville Children’s Museum presentation on Canada!
May 25 and May 28 – No school for unused snow day and Memorial Day
May 30 – 9:15-1:30 Visit to Hale Creek, students will need a bag
lunch
May 31 – 10 AM Bach to Beetles Presentation at PT
June 5 – Scotia-Glenville Children’s Museum presentation called “Use
Your Noodle”!
June 7 – Park Terrace Field Day (bathing suits, towels, and sunscreen
are needed!)
June 8 -- Rain date for Park Terrace Field Day
June 12 – Scotia-Glenville Children’s Museum presentation on Mexico!
June 13 – Park Terrace goes to Pine Lake
(bathing suits, towels and sunscreen needed!)
June 14 – 1:30 PM Flag Day celebration at PT
June 15 – Pine Lake

21 – 11:30 AM – Students released for summer, remember to keep reading!
