2019-20 budget information

On Monday, April 15, the Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education adopted a $67,047,457 budget for the 2019-20 school year.

Residents will vote on the proposed budget on Tuesday, May 21. Polls will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Gloversville High School gymnasium and Bleecker Town Hall. There will be a public hearing on the budget at 6:30 p.m., May 14 in the Board of Education meeting room.

In addition to the proposed budget, district residents will vote for three candidates for the Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education.

Three candidates, who are all incumbents, have submitted petitions to run for the three open seats on the board.

Their names will appear on the ballot in the following order:

  • Robert Curtis
  • Kevin Kucel
  • Vincent Salvione

Budget development process

Developing the annual school budget is a year-round process that involves the Gloversville Board of Education and district and school leaders. On the third Tuesday of each May, that process concludes when the public votes on a school budget proposal for the following year and elects candidates to the Board of Education.
