2020-2021 BUDGET INFORMATION

On Monday, May 18, 2020, the Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education adopted a $68,197,605 budget for the 2020-21 school year.

Due to COVID-19, residents voted on the budget on Tuesday, June 9 via absentee ballot. The results were 1122 - 412 in favor of the budget. Three capital reserves were also approved: Capital Reserve for Construction; Capital Reserve for School Bus and Vehicle Purchases and Capital Reserve for Technology. Two incumbents, John Lott and Sharon Poling were re-elected to the Board of Education and Michael Oathout was elected to replace Paula Brown-Weinstock who chose not to run. 

Their names will appear on the ballot in the following order:

  • Robert Curtis
  • Kevin Kucel
  • Vincent Salvione

Budget development process

Developing the annual school budget is a year-round process that involves the Gloversville Board of Education and district and school leaders. On the third Tuesday of each May, that process concludes when the public votes on a school budget proposal for the following year and elects candidates to the Board of Education.
