Attendance |
|
| |
We
expect students to be at school on time and ready to learn every day
of the school year unless illness or family emergencies prohibit it.
In that case, parents are asked to call the school and notify us of
unplanned absences. We offer a call back service for those parents
that would like to be notified if their children do not show up for
school. Please contact our office for more information on this
program. If the school has not been previously notified, our health
office will follow up on children absent for three consecutive days.
If a child is absent or tardy, we are required to have a parent
written excuse provided. Please provide a written excuse on the day
your child returns to school. Phone calls are not legal excuses. |

Medication |
|
| |
All
prescription and non-prescription (over the counter) medications
given in school must have a doctor's written instructions and
a signed note from the parent included with the request. Bee sting
medications have other restrictions. Medications will be kept in a
locked cabinet in our health office. Feel free to talk with the
school nurse about any concerns or questions concerning our
medication policy. |

Emergency/Student
Release Cards |
|
| |
These
cards are of utmost importance to you and your child. They are used
to notify you in case of emergency and contain all important medical
information, as well as to whom your child can be released to during
the day. Therefore, it is imperative that this card be kept
current and that it includes a phone number where someone can be
reached at all times during the school day. |

are expected to exhibit the same behavior on a school bus as in the
classroom. Routes are developed by our transportation department and
questions concerning specific transportation policies should be
directed to 725-8118. Disciplinary issues are handled in the
principal's office, and parents will be notified of unacceptable bus
conduct. |
