School Wide Discipline Plan General
Rules
1.
Respect the rights of others.
2. Respect school and other
people's properties.
3. Keep hands, feet and
objects to yourself.
4. Follow directions the first
time they are given.
5. Walk at all times in the
school building.
6. Use inside voices and
appropriate language. Cafeteria
1.
Stay in your seat.
2. Raise your hand for
permission to leave your seat.
3. Clean up after yourself.
4. Use good manners.
5. Obey the adults in charge.
6. Speak in a soft voice.
7. When lights are off, stop
and listen. Playground
1.
Stay in assigned areas.
2. Fighting, including
"play fighting" is not allowed.
3. Cooperate with the adults
on the playground.
4. Report problems to adults.
5. Use equipment safely.
- Walking up the slide is not
safe.
- Jumping off the top of the
poles is not safe.
- King of the Mountain, tackle
football, sliding on the ice and throwing snowballs are
not safe activities.
- Playing tag around the
climbing equipment is not safe.
6. Only one person should be
on the slide and ladder at a time. Consequences
for not following rules
1.
Verbal warning
2. Student removed from the
situation
3. Behavior reported to the
teacher or principal
4. Conduct report filed with
Mr. Ponticello Elementary

All
New York State schools are required to follow the SAVE
legislation. Progressive
range of consequences depending upon the nature, severity and
frequency of offense and pertinent facts and circumstances including
child's age and developmental level.
