Several Meco students were recently recognized with Mountain Climber awards, which is awarded to students for effort and improvement), and Shining Star awards, which is awarded to students who excel in all facets of school.
Fresh Start Fitness group helps keep
McNab-Meco students "On the Move"
In keeping with the "On the Move" campaign, the school hosted Fresh Start Fitness, a group which included a guitar player and an exercise instructor. The students enjoyed themselves while experiencing an intense, high energy aerobic workout.

The Heart Throbs recently led students at Meco Elementary in an exercise routine, which is part of this year’s “On the Move” campaign at McNab Meco, which emphasizes nutrition, physical activity and wellness.

Students at Meco Elementary were given effort awards — called the Mountain Climber award — or Shining Star awards at a recent Super Kids Rally.
Theater troupe teaches students about
McNab Meco's theme this year is "On the Move," which emphasizes physical activity, nutrition and wellness. With that theme in mind, the school invited the performers from Food Play, a national award-winning nutrition theater group, to present their show.

Students and staff at the Meco Elementary School recently made a new video showing the right and wrong ways to behave in the school cafeteria. The video is part of the district's ongoing Postive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program.
