Literacy Matters: Literacy Night helps pre-K students develop reading skills

Meco recently hosted a Literacy Night for pre-K students throughout the district focusing on Winnie-the-Pooh. The event was one of the many reading-themed events and activities to take place this year throughout the district as part of the  Literacy Matters initiative, which focuses on helping all students develop reading, writing, speaking and problem solving skills. see photos

Theater troupe teaches students about nutrition
McNab Meco's theme this year is "On the Move," which emphasizes physical activity, nutrition and wellness. With that theme in mind, the school invited the performers from Food Play, a national award-winning nutrition theater group, to present their show. see photos

Students, staff show proper cafeteria behavior in new video

Students and staff at the Meco Elementary School recently made a new video showing the right and wrong ways to behave in the school cafeteria. The video is part of the district's ongoing Postive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program.  See video
