Happy Birthday, Pooh!
Students in Mrs. Lomanto's and Mrs. Testo's class got together recently for a pajama party in honor of Winnie the Pooh's birthday.
They enjoyed stories and snacks. Winnie the Pooh made a guest appearance and read one of A. A. Milne's (the author who created Winnie the Pooh) books.

100 days of school

Annual Father/Daughter Dance tickets go on sale Feb.1
Father/Daughter tickets on sale until March 2nd
Tickets cost $20 for dad and daughter, extra daughters or dads are $5. The dance will be held Mar. 24, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at GMS.

Meco students get in the holiday spirit of giving
The staff and students in Meco Elementary recently held their annual food drive. A total of 15 boxes full of non-perishable food items were donated to the food pantry at Park Terrace. Thank you to all who donated!

Rain doesn't stop the Hootenanny
The students of Meco Elementary enjoyed the annual Harvest Hootenanny despite the rainy day. Though some activities had to be eliminated, the rest were moved indoors. Read more

The halls are alive with the sound of music
Kindergarteners at Meco recently filled the halls with musical instruments by putting on a "Sound Parade." The students have been studying sounds around town, school, and in nature. Read more
