2016-17 Kindergarten registration set for May
Children who will be 5 on or before Dec. 1, 2016, are eligible to start kindergarten in September 2016. Registration packets will be mailed at the end of March. If you do not receive a packet by April 15, please notify your school’s main office.
Arts group encourages imagination, empathy in students
A troupe of professional musicians visited GESD schools recently presenting concerts and small group workshops. The musicians discussed how music can fuel imagination, and encouraged students to follow their interests.
Guest readers help students develop reading skills during Meco Literacy Night
Meco held a Literacy Night, featuring Winnie the Pooh, on Jan. 21. Dressed in their pajamas, students enjoyed several stories read to them by guest readers. Afterwards, they enjoyed a snack before heading home.
