Kingsborough Library

Kingsborough Elementary School Library has been very busy this fall. The Library has added over 200 new books. The children have been very excited to sign out and read the new additions. Everyday I am adding new books so keep looking for the new reads.

Library Club

Mrs. Patti Blowers has started a Library Club which meets every morning from 8:25-8:55. The members help to decorate the Library for the season and shelve books. They helped with the Book Fair and made bookmarks for Election Day. We have had many helpers in the Library this fall and we appreciate all of their help.

Accelerated Reader

Mrs. Colleen Furlong has been in charge of the Accelerated Reader Program which has been received with great excitement from our students. While Ms. Terri Bolebruch has worked tirelessly getting our Accelerated Reader books separated, so the children can locate an Accelerated Reader book with ease.
 

A message from Mrs. Wilson...

The month of December will be a very exciting month for all of us. On Saturday, December 5, the Kingsborough PTA will hold its annual Breakfast with Santa. During the breakfast the children will be able to make a Christmas Tree decoration for $1.00. Children will also be able to make the decorations before school from 8:25-8:55, during the month of December. The money paid to make the decorations will be donated to The GESD Food Pantry. Please support this project because it is such a worthy cause, and it will give the children a chance to give back to the community. The decorations will be used to decorate the Library Christmas tree. Many thanks should be made to Mrs. Gina Ruller, Mrs. Patti Blowers, and Mrs. Colleen Furlong. This project would not be possible without their help with the donations of the supplies and their precious time. Please stop in soon to see our decorated tree, and encourage your child to stop in and make an ornament.
