The
Kingsborough TV Workshop began the
2004-2005
school year with a new set. In fact,
Mr. Donald Williams, the first principal of Kingsborough Elementary
School, returned to cut the ribbon, officially opening the new set.
He gave the history of the Kingsborough TV Workshop over the past 33
years. He said that he had always wanted a studio at
Kingsborough.
Last summer the new set was
designed by Mrs. Sandy Smith, the Kingsborough Art Teacher, and
brought to life by Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Linda Fisher, the TV Workshop
Advisor. Donations by Barney's Sign Company and Albie's Carpet Craft
helped to give it a professional look.
The
Kingsborough Morning Show is broadcast Monday through Friday on
cable Channel 17 at 8:35 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Last fall our TV crew was
given the opportunity to visit the studios at WRGB, Channel 6 in
Albany. The students were able to meet professional newscasters, and
sit at the big anchor's desk.
