Investment in GESD schools up for vote
Voters will consider a $37.8 million capital project to address health, safety, wellness and infrastructure issues in Gloversville schools on Tuesday, Nov. 17. If approved, the project would have no additional local tax impact. l
GESD schools closed Friday and Monday
There will be no school for students in the Gloversville Enlarged School District on Friday, Oct. 9, because of a Superintendent's Conference Day for employees. There also will be no school on Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Columbus Day.

Junior Dragon basketball set for November and December
The Junior Dragons Basketball Program provides basketball skill instruction for boys in grades four through six. All clinics will be run by Varsity Basketball Coach Aric Kucel, his coaching staff and players.
Lady Huskies Field Hockey Clinic set
A five-week clinic run by the Field Hockey Booster Club is open to girls in grades 3-6. The clinic runs from 9 to 11 a.m. beginning Oct. 3. at the practice fields at the middle school.
GHS gifted commemorative spoon
Diane Johnston Graziano, a 1949 graduate of Gloversville High School, has donated a GHS commemorative spoon believed to have been made when GHS was founded in 1908.
GESD positive behavior program benefits from Railfest donation
The Gloversville Enlarged School District recently received a $1,500 donation from the Gloversville Railfest Organizing Committee. The money will go to benefit the district's Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program.

The employees of BlueShield of Northeastern New York have donated a variety of school supplies to the Gloversville Enlarged School District, including notebooks, folders, loose-leaf paper, binders and more.
Pool open for adult lap swim on Saturdays
The pool at the Gloversville Middle School
will be open to GESD residents for adult lap swimming on Saturdays
starting Sept. 19.
The pool will be open from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 & 26, Oct. 3, 17 & 24 and Nov. 7,14 & 21.
