"My Mothers Hands"

Look at these hands she said.

This is what happens when you get old.

But I see things in a different light

Despite what I was told

I see hands of strength, hard work and care

No matter what I've down they were always there

Hands that through the years,

never gave up the fight.

Hands that love four kids with all of their might.

I tell her, those hands have achieved so much

and done so all alone.

Those hands have taught me that I can hold my own.

One thousand diapers changed

One hundred tears whiped away

Those hands have always been there

And I know they'll never go astray
