Page numbers are to be in the upper right-hand corner, one-half inch from the top. ABBREVIATIONS No abbreviations are to be used in compositions. Only standard abbreviations may be used in locations such as Works Cited and indices. Do NOT use “p.” or “pp.” to indicate page number. NO indication is necessary. STYLE MANUALS Be aware that there are many manuals that may be followed when preparing compositions and research papers, each of which has its own slightly different instructions. Here are some points to consider concerning such manuals. 1. All students at Gloversville High School must use this style manual for classes unless instructed otherwise by their teachers. 2. Whenever directed by a teacher to use another style manual, be sure to follow it in all respects and consistently. |
