A Real Learning Experience
Mr. Nares’ Civil Engineering and Architecture
students participated in some real hands-on learning Saturday Oct.
31. The students participated in the raising of a 10’ x 12’ shed
that they designed and constructed at the high school, and then
disassembled so that it could be transported to the customer. Once
on sight, the students, with the guidance of Mr. Nares and Mr.
McDougall, reassembled the shed and shingled it to complete phase
one of the project. Phase two takes place on Saturday Nov. 7. At
this time, the students are putting the finishing touches on the
shed, including adding vinyl siding, facia and soffit.
The Civil Engineering and Architecture is a Project Lead the Way
pre-engineering course, and participating students include: Matt
Albrecht, Kaitlin Clemente, Reggie Jackson, Will Keller, Lindsay
Komp, David McDougall, Patrick Peterson, Darryl Pinkerton, Travis
Putnam, Courtney Sellers, Dale Spraker, Andrew Burka, Burt Belden,
Ross VanNostrand, Zack Sturgess, Brad Duteau and Jerret Lucas.
