	Tobacco Free Schools For the 2005-06 school year, Gloversville High School has launched a tobacco free schools campaign in an effort to encourage all students not to smoke and to eliminate smoking on school grounds and in school buildings. Under state and federal law, as well as school district policy, the use of tobacco is prohibited on school grounds. As the campaign evolves over the year, make sure to keep checking the district Web site for updated information on events and the continued effort.

	75 students take part in Kick Butts Day On Wednesday, April 5, 75 students took part in Kick Butts Day at GHS. Students signed a pledge of silence for the entire school day (excluding class time), as a way to recognize the 1200 people who die every day from tobacco related causes.
