Band Performs at Festival
On April 2, the GHS Jazz Band performed at the College of Saint Rose High School Jazz Festival. The band performed four selections in front of a panel of judges and was evaluated and given a mini-clinic by the adjudicators.

Lunkenheimer,
right, was chosen as a stand out member of the ensemble for his piano playing/chord voicing skills and received an award for his accomplishments.
The highlight of the afternoon was saxophonist Lou “Blue Lou” Marini (of the Blues Brothers),
who performed with the Empire State Youth Jazz Ensemble and the College of Saint Rose Jazz Ensemble.
GHS was one of ten schools from the capital area chosen to attend the festival.
