                   Paper Airplane Lab Report Due 10/28!

 

Paper Airplane Experiment Power Point

   Here are the requirements for your lab report. You may have me look at any part of your report before the due date. The report must be neat, in order and spell checked! All reports will lose 10 points for each day it is late! If you are typing use 12 point font, Times New Roman, Arial or any other regular font is acceptable. Text should be double spaced.

 

Lab Report Format:

Title Page: (5 pts) Must include a descriptive title, your name, date and science period

Introduction or Purpose: (10 pts) Explain in one paragraph what the lab is about. What are we studying? What are we learning about?

Problem: (5 points) The question you are trying to answer.

Hypothesis: (10 points) Your prediction for the experiment's outcome. What do you think is going to happen and WHY?

Materials: (10 points) A list of all the materials you used in the experiment.

Procedure: (10 points) A step by step (numbered) list of how the experiment was set up and performed.

Observations: (30 points) Must include a data table (with title and headings), graph, picture of the paper clips on the airplane, and at least one paragraph discussing what you observed. Remember to include anything out of the ordinary that happened.

Conclusion: (15 points) Explain your results. Was your hypothesis correct? Did you do anything wrong during the experiment? What did you learn? Is there anything you would have or should have done differently? This should be at least 3 to 4 paragraphs.

Questions: (10 points) MUST BE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES!

1. What is a control? What was the control in this experiment?

2. What is a constant? What was the constant in this experiment?

3. What is an independent variable? What was the independent variable in this experiment?

4. What is a dependent variable? What was the dependent variable in this experiment?

5. Should your results be the same as others? Why or why not?
