All ELA
classes will have to write a brief paper about a quotation
given in class. This year quotes will be assigned every
other week. So watch when your class has the assignment and
the date that it's due.
Quotes will usually be posted on Wednesdays and briefly
discussed in class. Papers are normally due on the following
Wednesday. If you still do not understand the quote after
the class discussion, you must come and see me outside of
class BEFORE the day the paper is due. Be sure that your
meaning is clearly understood.
Your assignment will be graded on the following:
· Copy the quote and author
· 1 - 2 paragraphs in length
· Explain what you think the quote means.
· Give examples from life.
· Restate the quote in your own words.
· Give your opinion--do you agree, or disagree with the quote?
