HOMEWORK, TESTS, EXTRA CREDIT

    Homework is given an average of three times per week.  Homework is expected to be fully completed and ready for the start of class.

      Students are given frequent quizzes.  Students will be told about a quiz, the day before the quiz.  Tests occur every two to three weeks, usually at the end of a unit.  Students are informed about tests two days before the test.  A review game is done the day before the test as well.

      Extra credit is ongoing throughout the year.  Students can read a current events article from the newspaper.  They should write a summary of the article in their own words and staple it to the article.  Students can write a summary of up to 10 sentences.  They will be given 1 extra credit point for each good sentence.  Students may do two articles per week.
