Mr. Wagner's Grading Policy:

My grading policy is fairly simple.  Each marking period will count as 20% and the final exam will count 20% of the final class average.

During each marking period I will give a variety of assignments.  This will include homework, quizzes, tests, essays, and projects.  These assignments will be worth the following values towards the marking period average.

Homework/Projects/Class participation/Attitude 50%
Quizzes 15%
Tests/Essays 25%
Class Participation/Effort 10%

Homework will be assigned most nights of the week and on weekends.  Homework will not be assigned during major holidays and vacations.

Homework will be collected and will count.

Homework must be done if you want to pass and do well in this class.

Homework must be turned in on the due date.  If it is not turned in on the due date, the GMS Homework Policy will be followed.  Please refer to the Gloversville Middle School website for a description of the homework policy by clicking on the link below.

Extra Credit:

I do offer extra credit.  However, there are 2 requirements that a student must meet.

Extra credit is available to all students.  However, there are 2 restrictions or requirements:

    1. All extra credit must be given out or approved by the teacher.

    2. The student must not be missing more than 2 regular homework assignments during the marking period.

Extra credit can be used to boost the score on a current assignment, a previous assignment, a test, quiz, or to add points to a quarter average.  The choice depends on the type and amount of extra credit work that is completed.  This will be determined by the teacher.
