REMINDERS:
Excuses for
absences are due the
day a child returns from being out of school. Absences without
excuses are considered illegal.
If your child must be absent,
please call the school and arrange to pick up homework. This
helps children not fall too far behind.
There is a
reading/vocabulary test
every Friday of a 5-day week. Please ask your student to
review the weekly vocabulary words at home. Also, ask
them to summarize the weekly reading selections from the textbook and
to recall details from the story.
Most
importantly, ASK YOUR
CHILD TO SEE HIS GRADED PAPERS AND OTHER SCHOOL MAIL ON A WEEKLY
BASIS. "Mail day" is usually each Thursday, but
graded papers are passed back all the time. To be actively
involved with your child's educational day, it is important for you
to see their grades and talk to them about their lessons, tests, and
important papers that come home.
