Good afternoon,

There will be a shortage of bus drivers available this week due to several active COVID-19 cases and subsequent quarantine orders for a large number of bus drivers within BOCES transportation.

As a result, a number of Gloversville students will also be quarantined and those students and families have already been notified.

Due to the shortage of drivers, all secondary Gloversville students (6th-12th grade) who ride the bus will need to secure their own transportation to and from school, or if unable, have the option to attend their classes remotely this week. We will inform you when we can resume normal pick up.

Although COVID-19 cases have declined significantly in our community, we clearly still have issues to contend with. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes and hope that many bus riding students will be able to find transportation to and from school this week.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. We do not have any school building related quarantines at this time and look forward to the day when everyone’s lives may return to normal.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Sincerely
David Halloran
