Internet
filtering software is implemented and operational, on the school
district Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide area network (WAN),
as of June 30, 2002.
Filtering
software will be updated, per subscription guidelines, on a
daily schedule by vendor employed and verified personnel as
required by the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
The
filtering software should prevent access to 99 percent of all
currently published web pages with content deemed not
appropriate for children by the CIPA.
The school
district has the option of restricting or granting access to any
Web sites in the filtering software database or any web sites on
the world wide web by individual users or groups of users, i.e.,
students, faculty and staff.
