The Gloversville Enlarged School District captured
an Award of Merit for its website in the 33nd annual Communications
Contest sponsored by the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA).
About one-third of the more than 300 NYSPRA entries earned awards in
2012, in a closely drawn judging by communications professionals from
around the country. Awards will be presented to winners at the 2012
NYSPRA Awards Luncheon on October 26, during the 2012 convention of the
New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) in Rochester.
This is the second year in a row the Gloversville web site has been
honored with this prestigious award. In 2011, the district also received
an Award of Merit. The awards have come since the site was redesigned in
the summer of 2010.
The district’s web site continues to be the first and best source of
information about Gloversville. Not only is the site full of up-to-date
school-related information but the site also has a wealth of information
about the district’s
budget
and academic programs.
Visitors can also find an
online
calendar.
The site also includes several
teacher and staff
pages that contain a variety of classroom-specific information.
Traffic to the site saw more than 316,000 unique visitors during the
2010-11 school year.
Questions and comments regarding the web site are always welcome by our
communications office. To contact Communications Specialists, Elizabeth
