What did you want to be when you grew up?

I remember always wanting to be a teacher since kindergarten.

Who or what influenced your decision to become a teacher or join the GMS staff?

I love learning and want others to love learning as well.

What part of teaching do you like the most?

I love when the students enjoy what they are learning about and realize that school can be fun.

Playing mah johngg, reading, traveling, arts and crafts

Sunshine because it makes people happy.

How many children do you have in your family?

Two adult children and two grandchildren

What impresses you most about GMS?

That we have a good work ethic.

Did you ever have a teacher that changed your attitude, perspective, or self-confidence in a positive way?

Ms. Burton - high school calculus

What positive experience about your time at GMS will you remember forever?

I will remember the good friends that I have met and the students that stay in touch.

What one thing would you most like GMS to know about you?

I'm retiring!

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I'm a grandma.

What would you change if you had a magic wand?

No more excessive testing for students! No APPR until we have answers.

In your imagination, what dream job would you like to have?

Party planner

Living - Hillary Clinton. Dead - Jesus Christ.

What was your favorite fairytale, story, or movie when you were a child?

The Wizard of Oz

If you could click your heels and go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Paris, France. I've always wanted to see it and speak a little French.

If you were given the opportunity, would you travel to Outer Space?

I would love to travel to Outer Space and I hope I'll see some Aliens while I'm there!

If you could spend one day in a great library researching a topic, what topic would you want to learn more about?

Ancient Egypt - I love it!

Do you have a cause about which you are very passionate?

Breast Cancer - my mother is a survivor.

It there was one thought you could leave with all young people today, what would that be?

Be kind to each other,and enjoy each day - including school days! You can become anything you desire with hard work.
