Junior Lindsey Howard performed with Albany Pro Musica as an Apprentice Artist in their performance of Lux Aeterna at The Cathedral of All Saints in Albany on January 29. Students are chosen for the Artist Apprentice Program based on their application, which includes NYSSMA scores and teacher recommendations. Only the very best singers from area schools are accepted. This year applicants from two dozen schools applied.

The Artist Apprentice Program offers high school choral students an opportunity to participate in professional level music-making of a
major choral work, in performance with the area's most distinguished chorus and with a professional orchestra, in an extraordinary performance venue. Apprentices come to regular rehearsals of Pro Musica and are fully integrated into the group.

Apprentices from past seasons have been thrilled to have this opportunity, and have consistently stated that the experience is one of the highlights of their singing career.
