Twenty-nine students were inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) Thursday night at Boulevard Elementary. The new inductees were welcomed by 18 returning Honor Society students in 5th grade.

"I am so proud of these students for everything they've done and everything that they will do over the next couple of years," said Principal Thomas Komp.

The NEHS is in it's fourth year at Boulevard. The students are selected under four criteria: Scholarship, Responsibility, Leadership, and Service. They were commended for their many responsibilities at home, such as walking the dog, taking out the garbage and babysitting. They are also involved in many community services, activities and groups. The students not only excel in academics (they need to carry an average of 85% or above) but they also display many leadership qualities.

"These students deserve this honor," said Mr. Komp during the induction ceremony. "They have worked very hard for it."
