Principal James Christopher will now have some
assistance with supervising the 671 students in the Gloversville Middle
School, a position left vacant when Mr. Jim Crawford left to become the
principal of McNab/Meco Elementary.
The Board of Education recently appointed Nicole Lent as assistant
principal, she assumed her administrative duties on October 3.
Mrs. Lent comes to Gloversville from the Northville Central School where
she was an educator for 8 years, prior to that she worked for the
Mayfield Central School District.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Cortland and a Masters of
Science Degree from Russell Sage Graduate School. Mrs. Lent earned her
Administrative Certification in 2009 from the Massachusetts College of
Liberal Arts. She also holds certifications in Special Education and
Elementary Education. In addition, Mrs. Lent also worked throughout the
county with at-risk teens and their families.
“I am very excited to bring my knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to
the Gloversville Enlarged School District,” said Mrs. Lent.
