On Feb. 8, 2007, district residents approved $24.9 million in renovations and improvements -  most notably the construction of a new gymnasium at the high school. Work began on this second phase in the Spring of this year and is expected to be completed by the Fall of 2011.

The external walls of the new addition are almost sealed to the outside elements. Once this stage is complete, the interior of the building can be heated and the final phase of the process can begin. The final phase will include finishing the plumbing, electrical work, flooring, painting, installation of bleachers, lockers, etc.

"We are just about where we should be at this stage of the process," said CSArch Representative Stephen Leibers.
