GESD
District-wide winter-wear giveaway provides coats, boots
and gloves to local families in need
That
extra coat and boots won’t keep anyone warm sitting in
your closet all winter. Family Involvement Coordinators
of the Gloversville Enlarged School District have a way
for extra winter outerwear to help families in need stay
warm. The Free, District-Wide, Winter-Wear Giveaway
begins now!
In today’s economic crisis, many families are struggling
to provide appropriate winter outerwear for their
children. Other families have extra coats, snow pants,
hats, boots, mittens and gloves in their closets – extra
winter wear waiting to keep a child warm and dry this
winter.
Help your neighbors now by donating extra clean, useable
winter outerwear (no rips, holes, or stains - and with
working zippers) to the GESD District-Wide, Winter-Wear
Giveaway by Thursday, Nov. 12.
What we need: coats, snow pants, hats, mittens,
gloves and boots
Please DO NOT send: shirts, pants, shoes, socks or
undergarments.
Send donations to school with your child by Thursday,
November 12.
Are your children in need of winter outerwear? Please
come to our Free Winter Clothing Giveaway at the
Gloversville Middle School on Thursday, November 19 from
3 – 6 p.m.
