A brief fire alarm didn’t
dampen the spirits of the over 300 students who were
served breakfast Wednesday morning as a reward for their
academic achievement.
The Honors Breakfast
consisted of students who made Honor Roll and
Principal's List during the 4th marking period of last
school year and the 1st quarter of this year. The number
of students represented over one-third of the high
school population. They were commended for their
"dedication to their education" by Principal Rich
DeMallie.
The breakfast was attended by student family members,
Board of Education representatives, and GESD
administration as well. “What a pleasure to have such a
large turnout,” says Assistant Superintendent Frank
Pikus. “These students have established themselves as
serious students.”
