Donald S. Lomanto
A 1968 graduate of Gloversville High School, Don went on to attend Siena College, graduating in 1972
with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Science Education. This same year, Don secured a teaching position at Fonda-Fultonville Central School as a math and science instructor. 

While teaching, Don went on to earn a Master of Science degree from Union College in Science Education. In July of 1978 he became a secondary school principal for St. Johnsville Central Schools.

 In May of 1979 he earned a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration from SUNY at Albany. In July of 1979 he moved to the Greater Johnstown School District where he became a principal of Knox Jr. High School and administrator of educational services. Don was appointed Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services in July of 1982 and obtained a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southern University in September of 1987. In December of 1988, Don returned home to become Superintendent of Schools for the Gloversville Enlarged School District.

Don has also been involved in community services such as the Glove Theatre Restoration Project, Teen Violence and Quality of Life Task Force and the Gloversville Citizens Revitalization Leadership Committee. He has also been past president of the Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Fulton County.
