Guardian
Angels Begin New Program
The Gloversville
Chapter of the Guardian Angels announces the beginning
of its Junior Angels program. This free program targets
children ages 7-17. We will offer alternatives to
inappropriate recreation by providing training,
guidance, self-esteem, and security. Through
volunteerism they learn respect for self and
others. Programs including alcohol awareness, fire
safety, nutrition and anti-bullying will be presented by
various community organizations based in Fulton and
Montgomery counties. Recreational activities such as basketball and board
games will also be offered.
Weekly meetings will be held on Fridays from 5-8 pm at
the YWCA on Bleecker Street in Gloversville starting on September 14th with
the parent/child orientation session and will run through October 19th.
