Board goals for the Gloversville Enlarged School District

Each year the Board of Education reviews the district goals and visions in order to help guide the district. They are as follows:

1. Financial Stability: The district will establish a level of financial stability and accountability to achieve district goals and maintain programs supported by the community.

2. Community Attitude and Perception: A. The district will work in partnership with the community to build a sense of pride in our schools and community. B. The district will foster efforts to increase communication and interaction between our schools and community in order to improve community attitude and perception.

3. Student Achievement: Each school building will continue to engage in a coordinated and focused effort based upon accurate student data to raise the level of student achievement compared to the previous year.

4. Morale: The district will support efforts to maintain productive and positive attitudes among all stakeholders in the educational process.

5. Students at Risk: Working with all available resources, the district will continue to address the academic and social/emotional needs of our at-risk students.

6. Building and Grounds: The district will review the facilities needs of the entire district and design a proposal for comprehensive improvement and scheduled maintenance of our schools.

7. Curriculum/Program Alignment: The district will identify areas of need as well as strengths and continue to improve and implement a coordinated K-12 curriculum aligned to the NYS Learning Standards.
