Supplemental Educational Services
The Gloversville Enlarged School district would like to make parents aware of the availability of Supplemental Education Services for their students. These services are academic intervention services. They can include tutoring, after-school services, summer services or on-line services to support academic achievement of any student who qualifies for free and reduced lunch.

Under the Federal No Child Left Behind Act, the Gloversville Middle School will be offering these services tuition free (using federal funding) to any student who qualifies for free and reduced lunch. Gloversville Middle School is required to offer these services because it is presently listed as a School In Need of Improvement in the area of English Language Arts.

For more information on SES, visit the State Department of Education Web site. Included on that site is a list of SES providers in our area. Please also feel free to call the office of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction (775-5792)for assistance, support and explanation on any aspect of supplemental education services. This is service is separate from any district tutoring services, which are provided by the district. Most providers are off site and require a contract between the family of the student and the provider.
